This is a Confederate #2 style mortar bed with golf ball bore size barrel.  This mount  was made from a 4x4 cedar post.
GOLF BALL STOKES MORTARS
Confederate style mortar with #2 block style bed made from pressure treated 4x4.  Total cost of mortar bed materials was under $15.  This one will be painted gloss brown.  Free plans for this mortar bed included with purchase of barrel.

Replica of a Model 1840, 10" Seacoast Mortar.  This one has a  2.75" bore.
This is an 8-3/4" bore Bowling ball mortar barrel I built in 2008. 
Replicas of a Model 1861, 13" Seacoast  mortar.  Also known as a "Dictator",  this was the name given to only one of these mortars. The original full scale weighed 17,500 lbs.Top two photos are soda can bore and bottom two are golf ball bore. 
4.1" bore, coffee can mortar, Coehorn Sled design.
This is a smaller scale version of a British wheeled siege mortar used during the Sikh war, 1845-46.  This one has a 4.62" bore and fires candle pin bowling balls.
